STITCHING QUESTIONS:
Q: Can my non-stitching partner/spouse/friend come?
A: YES! Dan will be hosting some non-stitching meetups/activities throughout the cruise.
Q: How much stitching time/space is available?
A: We'll have a nice private stitching area available daily from 8am to noon, and even longer on our 3 sea days. There's also plenty of space on the ship to stitch whenever you like.
Q: Can I meet the other stitchers before the trip?
A: Yes! We'll have multiple Zoom calls to stitch and get to know each other.
Q: Will there be stitching workshops/classes/vendors/etc.?
A: At this time we have no plans for additional stitching events, but may add those later on. Please let us know if you'd be interested in participating in or hosting these types of events.
CRUISE/PRICING:
Q: Can I come solo?
A: Yes, but the pricing per-person is slightly higher for a solo. We also offer roommate matching- See the booking page to get matched up.
Q: When should I arrive?
A: We recommend arriving a day early (if flying in), and we'll have a group block at a hotel nearby. Details will be provided soon. Transportation from hotel to cruise port will be included when booking into our hotel room block. Last call for boarding is at 3pm.
Q: What costs are additional?
A: Flights, travel insurance, transportation to/from cruise port, pre-cruise hotel, cruise port parking, off-ship excursions, and some on-ship experiences such as spa services, tattoo parlor, grog walk, etc. Alcohol is not included, but Sea Terrace rooms get a free $200 bar tab.
Q: Do I need travel insurance?
A: We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance. Please contact us for a quote.
Q: Do I need a passport, visa, etc.?
A: Passports are strongly recommended, but you may be able to travel without one- Contact us for a complete list of acceptable travel documents. No visas are needed at this time for US travelers.
Q: When do I need to book by?
A: We have a limited number of rooms available, so we recommend booking as early as possible. Based on our interest form survey, we anticipate this cruise selling out.
Q: Can I upgrade to a suite, select a specific room, etc.?
A: Yes! As long as the room type you want is still available, we can book any room on the ship. Contact us to check availability and pricing.
Q: Is Virgin a good cruise line for me?
A: If you're 18 or older, then absolutely! Virgin has something for everyone, and all ages are welcome. Virgin is an inclusive and diverse cruise line so whoever you are, you'll fit right in. To learn more, join us for an info session. Click here to register for the current info sessions.
Q: Will there be more cross stitch cruises in the future?
A: YES! We'll have more details later on, but our hope is to run 2-3 each year, sail to different locations, and include more cross stitch activities (i.e. workshops/classes/vendor tables/etc. Click here to join our mailing list and stay informed.
If you're close enough to drive to the port, then you're on easy street.
If not, you'll want to fly in at least a night before in order to ensure you're on time for the cruise. If you 'miss the boat', you miss the trip, so we recommend against taking the risk of a delayed or canceled flight causing you to miss boarding. We'll be opening up a room block for the night of the 6th soon.
